In fact, the glass drilling machine does not need to be explained for everyone. When you hear the name of this equipment, you will know that it is a machine for punching holes in glass. In fact, from a general perspective, glass drilling machines are divided into two categories: a) Vertical Glass punching machine, b) Horizontal glass punching machine. So does the glass punching machine punch toughened glass? The following editor will introduce it in detail.
Let me tell you clearly that tempered glass can be punched. The technology used to be immature, so tempered glass needs to be opened before tempering, but now we have already realized that the glass is directly punched through the glass punching machine.
The following points need to be paid attention to when using glass punching machine to punch toughened glass.
1. The size of tempered glass has strict requirements, and the width must be greater than the thickness (more than 8 times) to operate
2. With 12mm as the critical point, the distance from the edge of the hole to the edge of the glass should not be less than 1.5 times the thickness if the thickness is less than 12mm, and the distance from the edge of the hole to the edge of the glass should not be less than 2 times the thickness if it is greater than 12mm.
3.The hole diameter of the tempered glass punched hole must be greater than 1.6mm of the original glass thickness, and the hole diameter must be less than one-third of the width.
4. If you are opening a hole in the glass corner, you need to pay attention. If the glass angle is greater than 90 degrees, the distance from the hole to the corner edge must be greater than 6.5 times the thickness of the glass.
5.The hole punched in the concave part should not be less than the fillet radius of the glass thickness.
In fact, it is reasonable to say that toughened glass can be opened at will, and the editor does not recommend opening toughened glass. Not only does it require the limit of the glass, but also the operation is easy and difficult. It needs to be operated by professionals, and the price is more expensive.
Generally speaking, toughened glass cannot be drilled. If you want to drill, it is recommended to use ordinary flat glass to drill and then temper it. If you want to go deeper, you can use a laser to drill, but it is difficult and expensive, and it is not something ordinary people can do. The editor hopes that everyone will not open holes for the tempered glass privately and pay attention to safety.
